Thank you Tim. Charles, While I agree that ND's can be useful and I employ them in some instances, I think it would have done little for this image. I do not use colored filters. In this image, you are looking at thick fog glowing from the sun setting behind it. I am not a fan of blue sky/mid day photography and intentionally seek out atmospheric and moody conditions. While I will always be striving to improve my photography, It is most definitely NOT why I am here. This site serves to fullfill print sales from my website.

Hi Landa, I have noticed several images that can be improved in the sky area by the use of neutral density or color graduated filters. A bleak sky can destroy a great photograph. Cropping may be the answer in many cases. Lets here from the rest of you and your opinions, after all we are here to learn.
